Skylar Miklus (they/them) received their BA in Philosophy from Dartmouth College in 2022 and went on to receive an MFA in Poetry from University of New Hampshire in 2025. Skylar’s poems have been anthologized in Bullshit Lit and published in outlets including Stirring, Identity Theory, On the Seawall, and Defunct Magazine. They were the first place winner of the 2025 Wildcats Poetry Prize at the Nossrat Yassini Poetry Festival for their poem “Sestina for G.”

Skylar has worked in many corners of the book industry, including three years at an independent bookstore and an editorial internship with Electric Literature. They currently teach middle school English, while also working on their manuscript and writing freelance reviews and interviews. They live in Farmington, NH, with their partner and rabbit.
